Saint John’s gospels we have been hearing lately all speak of not who God is but where God is. the Son is in the Father and the Father is in the Son ; if we are in the Son the Father is in us too. This is not fusion : the Son is the Son and the Father is the Father… and we are who we are. But it is the deepest connection that can exist between beings. Whenever we receive Christ’s body, we pray, we act freely and willingly according to his commandments, then our inner connection to and with the Son and the Father is strenghtened. And the Holy Spirit is there to make us understand eveything. I wonder if he hasn’t got the most difficult job !!!
